Hrithik Roshan has finally spoke on the entire fiasco with Kangana Ranaut.

Hrithik Roshan again opened up on his ugly fight with Kangana Ranaut to the media, carefully emphasising that this is “not a lover’s spat”. The face-off between the two leading stars has again reached a crescendo with Roshan speaking to multiple media organisations and explaining his side of the story. In the latest interview, speaking to CNN News 18, Hrithik said, “I won’t say (whether I wrote those mails). The truth and evidence will speak for itself. In Rangoli’s mail, the first time that I ever received a mail, Rangoli said ‘Kangana has been communicating with a person posing to be you, this communication has been going on past six months, if it is not you, let us file a complaint’.”

Hrithik has clearly said that he never met Ranaut one to one and has no relationship with her; he maintains that the Simran actor was speaking with an impostor. His response comes a month Ranaut spoke about the relationship with the media.

“What I assume is that, that six months of relationship that she (Kangana) has had with this imposter, she, after knowing my true email id, has extended that relationship onto my real mail id and then incessantly gone on sending emails,” he added. Ranaut claims that she and Roshan had a seven-year-long affair but the Kaabil actor has refuted the claim time and again. He started the recent media blitzkrieg with a Facebook post on October 5.

Earlier this month, a news channel published the police complaint filed by Hrithik Roshan against Ranaut for stalking. Over the past weekend, Roshan gave a series of interviews to various news channels and talked about his side of the debate, claiming he never interacted with Kangana.

“After the whole horrific experience of a few mails exchanged with Rangoli, where words like rape were used, I disconnected with it. There were larger things in my life at that time to concentrate, I did not want to be associated with all this,” he said in the latest interview.

Roshan began the interview by explaining his pauses during the recent interviews and how many pointed that it showed his answers were practised. He said that he pauses and speaks because that is how he has taught himself to talk. He said this is about two people washing their dirty laundry in public. “I need to say this is not my laundry... I am a bystander in this whole thing. The onus of the explanation should not be on me, it should be on the accuser. It is the accuser who should come with proof and not the accused. It’s like I have parked my car on the road side and another car comes and crashed into my car. And I am put on a stand and asked why did that car crash into your car? Now you are asking me to explain why my car was parked at the exact spot where the other car crashed!”

He accepted that he could have handled it better, “There maybe imperfections in the way I handled this. I tried my best to have it disappeared, but does that incriminate me?”

When asked when was the first time he met Kangana, Hrithik said,” It was for the shooting of Kites around 2009. We did not even become friends. I think that's because Kangana came across as somebody very, very shy. I appreciated her hard work and was even proud of her. I never had any deep conversations on life and stuff.”

“Dinners and lunches, no. There were a few birthdays that happened during the shoot. And that was where everyone from the crew was invited. Going to a birthday party along with hundreds of others does not constitute a relationship,” he added.

He further said, “Did I give her an advice, yes I did. Mostly about choices of films, what should I do next. She was also learning to be more eloquent in English. I have never met her one on one, not once. I haven’t met Yami (Gautam), Ronit or Rohit one on one. So it is not so unbelievable. If there is even one person who has seen the lady in question and me one on one, in a coffee shop or someone’s house. In my desperation to get rid of this, I even got all my phone records.”

During the interview, Hrithik also said he was vulnerable at the time when Kangana was sending him emails. “ I was a single man, and the kind of things she was sending...I could have had a moment where I texted her saying ‘Hey, Come over!’ and ‘what do you want, let’s have an evening’. But if I had done that, I could not have fought this now.”

“All through I was receiving the emails, I asked top stars, who are my friends, and asked them for advice. I tried many ways to stop this, I went to her mentors. But there is no reference for something like this, nobody knew what to do. All they could do, they felt compassion and that put me on a bit of a back foot. I did not want to be the one who sparked a scandal.I ignored it and wished it away. My past has taught me that ignorance is the best way to stop somebody’s intrusions,” Hrithik said.
