Actor Rishi Kapoor’s character in the remake of the classic film, Agneepath, promises to be a shocker. Contrary to reports, Kapoor is not playing Krishna Iyer MA, Mithun Chakraborty’s comical coconut seller in the original. Instead, the film’s director Karan Malhotra introduced a new character with negative shades, essayed by Kapoor.

Kapoor admits even he had assumed that he was being approached for Mithun’s role. But when Malhotra explained the character to him, his first reaction was sceptical. “You must be joking! From which angle do I look like such a bad person to you? Yeh film nahin chalegi and I’ll be the reason for it not working,” Kapoor had said.
