Sonet did the heavy lifting again
That late surge helped Kia close calendar year 2025 at 280,286 units, up 15% over 2024, when it sold about 245,000 vehicles. The Sonet once again did the heavy lifting for the brand. Kia said the compact SUV crossed the 100,000-unit mark in 2025, making it the second year in a row that the model has achieved six-figure annual sales. The Sonet has remained Kia’s most reliable volume driver, particularly in urban and semi-urban markets.
The Seltos also played an important role in 2025. Despite increasing competition in the midsize SUV segment, the model continued to find buyers through the year and remained a key pillar in Kia’s line-up. Other models, including the Carens, Carens Clavis, and the Carens Clavis EV, contributed to overall volumes as well, with Kia describing their performance as stable over the year.
Next-generation Seltos price announcement tomorrow
Kia is now turning attention to the next phase of the Seltos. The company has confirmed that prices of the new Seltos will be announced in India tomorrow. The updated SUV has already been revealed, and bookings are currently open.
The new Seltos features a fresh exterior design with several visible changes. These include new 18-inch alloy wheels, flush door handles, LED fog lamps, LED headlamps with daytime running lights, connected tail lamps, a rear-mounted dashcam, a shark-fin antenna, and a concealed rear wiper.
Inside, the SUV has been reworked with a stronger focus on features. Highlights include a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, 64-colour ambient lighting, a head-up display, dual-zone climate control, and a wireless phone charger.
