Toyota reports highest-ever annual sales in 2025 at 3.88 lakh units

Toyota Kirloskar Motor ended calendar year 2025 with total sales of 3,88,801 units, its highest annual volume to date. This represents a 19 per cent increase over 2024, when the company reported sales of 3,26,329 units.

Record year for Toyota in India

Domestic sales accounted for the bulk of Toyota’s volumes during the year. The company sold 3,51,580 units in the Indian market in 2025, up 17 per cent year-on-year. Exports stood at 37,221 units, recording a 42 per cent increase compared to the previous calendar year. While exports remained a smaller share of overall volumes, the higher growth rate contributed to the year-end total.

Toyota also reported a strong December performance. Sales for December 2025 stood at 39,333 units, compared to 29,529 units in December 2024, translating into a year-on-year growth of 33 per cent. Of this, domestic sales were 34,157 units, while exports contributed 5,176 units. Domestic volumes for the month grew by 37 per cent, while exports increased by 12 per cent.

Which models drove volumes in 2025

Sales in 2025 were supported by demand across multiple segments. The Innova Hycross and Fortuner remained key volume drivers, while models such as the Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Urban Cruiser Taisor and Glanza contributed in the compact and mid-size categories. The Hilux continued to add volumes in the lifestyle pickup segment.
