Man held for raping 7-year-old
A 33-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a seven-year-old girl. The accused was produced before the duty magistrate on Sunday and remanded in two days' police custody.

A 33-year-old man was arrested for allegedly raping a seven-year-old girl.
The accused was produced before the duty magistrate on Sunday and remanded in two days' police custody.
SHO Phase-1, police station, Naveen Pal Singh Lehal said that the accused Raju Shastri (33) and victim's father were working in the same factory at Phase 7 in SAS Nagar.
Raju committed the crime on Saturday evening and threatened the victim with dire consequences. A case has been registered on the complaint of victim's father under Section 376 (rape) of the IPC at Phase-1 police station. The medical report too has confirmed rape, the SHO said.
