Staffers can post literary, artistic, scientific content in social media: Krishan Kumar Bedi

Responding to a question asked during the Question Hour, Bedi said that if a government employee earns up to 8,000 per year through literary, cultural, artistic, scientific, or technical efforts, and if such efforts do not involve the knowledge acquired during their service, they are allowed to retain the income.

Responding to a question asked during the Question Hour, Bedi said that if a government employee earns up to 8,000 per year through literary, cultural, artistic, scientific, or technical efforts, and if such efforts do not involve the knowledge acquired during their service, they are allowed to retain the income. However, if the earnings exceed 8,000 per year, the employee must deposit one-third of the additional amount into the state treasury.

561 doctors get appointment letters: Health minister

Haryana health minister Arti Singh Rao said the government has issued appointment letters to 561 medical officers on March 8. She was responding to a question during the ongoing budget session of the Haryana Vidhan Sabha.

The health minister said a total of 3,969 posts of medical officers have been sanctioned in the state health department out of which 3,192 posts are filled. Out of 644 sanctioned posts of senior medical officers, 425 posts are filled. She said that 139 posts of doctors have been sanctioned in Panchkula district out of which 133 posts are filled. Six posts are vacant, and these will also be filled soon, she added.

In response to another question, Rao said that there is a provision to build a trauma centre at every 60 km distance. A survey will be conducted to establish a trauma centre in Ganaur town and if the need is felt, its construction will be considered.

Every district has war memorial: Rao Narbir Singh

The Cabinet minister Rao Narbir Singh said the state government has built war memorials at every district headquarter, which are maintained by the government, whereas the war memorials in villages are built by the panchayat department and the work of their maintenance and beautification is done by the concerned gram panchayat.

The minister was answering a question asked by BJP MLA Om Prakash during the Question Hour in the assembly regarding the construction of a war memorial in memory of martyrs of the 1857 movement at Naseebpur, Narnaul.

The minister said that there is already a war memorial in Naseebpur and that this panchayat has come under Nagar Palika, Narnaul. The beautification of this war memorial can be done by the municipality.

Proposal to fill anganwadi workers posts, helpers under consideration of dept: Shruti Choudhry

Haryana’s women and child development minister Shruti Choudhry informed the House that there are 1,479 sanctioned posts of anganwadi workers and 1,454 sanctioned posts of anganwadi helpers in Karnal district. The proposal to fill the vacant posts of anganwadi workers and helpers is under consideration of the department.

She said out of 1,479 sanctioned posts of Anganwadi Workers in Karnal, 1,355 posts are filled while 124 posts are vacant. Similarly, 1,454 posts of Anganwadi helpers are sanctioned in Karnal, out of which 1,219 posts are filled while 235 posts are vacant. She said there are 25,962 sanctioned posts of Anganwadi Workers in the state, out of which 23,413 are filled while 2,549 are vacant. Apart from this, 25,450 posts are sanctioned for Anganwadi assistants, out of which 21,011 are filled and 4,439 are vacant. Selection criteria are being prepared for their appointment. The vacant posts will be filled soon, she added.
