Employer kills help in Delhi’s Kailash Hills, found sitting next to body
The Delhi Police said the suspect, who is in his 50s, has been apprehended and is being interrogated.
A 45-year-old domestic help’s employer attacked and killed her with a knife and bat in Southeast Delhi’s Kailash Hills on Tuesday morning, police said on Thursday.

The accused, identified as Dr Manish Gupta, is a dermatologist in his 50s, according to the Deputy police commissioner (Southeast) Hemant Tiwari. Dr Gupta was apprehended and is currently being interrogated by the Delhi Police.
Police said that a neighbour reported a woman lying dead in a pool of blood. Deputy police commissioner (Southeast) Hemant Tiwari said a team was immediately rushed to the scene, and it found the body of the woman, later identified as Meena.

“The accused was present and sitting near the body. He admitted to hitting the victim with a bat and later attacking her with a knife. He has been apprehended, and an interrogation into the motive of the crime is going on,” said Tiwari.
Investigators said that the weapons used for the murder have been recovered.

“Another team is being called to inspect the spot. A case under is being registered, and an investigation is being taken up,” said Tiwari.
