New Delhi: Three members of a family were killed and one member wounded after a man allegedly fired at his in-laws and wife following a quarrel in northwest Delhi’s Shakurpur on Sunday night.

Deputy police commissioner (northwest) Usha Rangnani said that around 11.30 pm on Sunday, the police control room received a call regarding firing and injuries to some people. A team was rushed to the scene immediately and it found four people with gunshot injuries. The four were rushed to a nearby hospital, where three of them were declared dead.
“During the inquiry at the crime scene, it was learnt that there was a quarrel between Hitendra, a resident of the same neighbourhood, and his in-laws. Hitendra opened fire at his wife, two brothers-in-law, and a sister-in-law... A case of murder was registered and Hitendra was arrested,” said Rangnani.
