Savitribai Phule Pune University launches ‘smart interview platform’
Interviews of job aspirants will be conducted on the online platform using artificial intelligence (AI)
Pune: Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) launched its ‘smart interview platform’ on Monday. Interviews of job aspirants will be conducted on the online platform using artificial intelligence (AI) and the data will be sent to various companies.

The platform is made available through the joint efforts of SPPU and Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Smart City Project. The platform will also impart employment-based skills.
SPPU vice-chancellor Prof Nitin Karmalkar, pro-vice-chancellor NS Umarani, SPPU innovation cell head Apoorva Palkar, dean Sanjeev Sonawane, Manohar Chaskar, Parag Kalkar, senate member Santosh Dhore, principals, professors and placement officers of various colleges in Pimpri-Chinchwad attended the event.
Palkar said, “Students from colleges in Pimpri-Chinchwad will be able to use the facility free of cost and connect to more than 300 companies. The initiative will be soon launched on Degree Plus platform for students with a nominal fee.”
Prof Karmalkar said, “At a time when the world is constantly changing, what happened yesterday needs to be incorporated in the curriculum today. Smart Interviews is a platform that will help students become industry ready and connect with companies all over the world.”
