FYJC admission process to start from June 8, cut- offs in Pune colleges may remain high

Admission process for Class 11 or First Year Junior College (FYJC) in Pune for management, in-house and minority quotas begins on June 8 with high cut-offs expected due to many students scoring above 90%. Centralised admission process seats will be allotted from June 13 to 15 in the zero round and round 1 admission process will start from June 19 onwards.

93.83% students pass SSC exam in Maharashtra

The state pass percentage this year has seen a drop of 3.11 per cent compared to last year’s results. In 2022, the pass percentage of the state was 96.94%. In 2021, it was 99.95%, in 2020 the pass percentage was 99.95%

SSC results to be declared today at 1 pm in Maharashtra

Deccan Queen’s track count covers 93 years

91.25% students clear HSC exam in Maharashtra, pass percentage dips by 2.97%

Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (MSBSHSE) announced that the Class 12 exam results for the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) showed an overall pass percentage of 91.25%. The exams were held with 100% syllabus this year, with 7,696 students scoring above 90%, and at least 583,271 students scoring between 45% and 60%. Girls outperformed boys, with a pass percentage of 93.73% compared to 89.14%. The highest pass percentage was in the Konkan division with 96.01%, followed by Pune division with 93.34%, and the lowest percentage was in Mumbai division with 88.13%.

The process of selecting a new vice-chancellor for Savitribai Phule Pune University is in the final stage, with five shortlisted candidates set to be interviewed by the governor on May 26. The selection committee received over 100 applications and interviewed 27 candidates before finalizing the five, including four from SPPU. Former V-C Nitin Karmalkar retired on May 18.
