Pakistan defeated England by nine wickets in Lord’s Test to go 1-0 up in the two-match series. Resuming at 235/6 on the fourth day, the hosts lost their remaining wickets within the first 30 minutes to get bowled out for 242. Mohammad Amir and Mohammad Abbas took four wickets each while Jos Buttler (67) and Dominic Bess (57) scored half-centuries. Needing 64 to win, Pakistan lost Azhar Ali (4) early but Haris Sohail (39*) and Imam-ul-Haq (18*) played sensibly to seal the deal for their side.
