IND vs AFG Highlights, 1st T20I 2026: India opened the three-match T20I series with a commanding seven-wicket win over Afghanistan in Delhi, making light work of a 157-run chase at the Arun Jaitley Stadium. Abhishek Sharma provided the impetus with a blistering half-century, ensuring Afghanistan never quite managed to squeeze India despite their formidable spin attack. Earlier, Arshdeep Singh led India's bowling effort with 3/19 as Afghanistan were restricted to 156/8 after collapsing to 43/5. Azmatullah Omarzai rescued the innings with an unbeaten 64, finding valuable support from Mohammad Nabi to give his side something to defend. Jasprit Bumrah also marked his return to international cricket with a wicket, but Afghanistan's recovery ultimately proved insufficient. India remained in control for most of the chase and comfortably crossed the line to take a 1-0 lead in the series.
