MS Dhoni does not quite believe in numbers, he believes in instincts and doing what his gut says and hence, this season too he has lead a far-from-perfect side into the finals. There are concerns with the batting department, but the form of the skipper has been brilliant and is one of the main reasons why CSK are where they are. With 414 runs, this has been his best IPL season and for long it looked like he was carrying the weight of the Super Kings batting on his own.

He averages 103.50 this season, which is the best. If he scores 48 more runs, this season will become his most prolific. Also, if he walks in early and has enough time to score 86 runs, he will breach the 500-run mark for the first time in his IPL career.

Also, he needs to smack four sixes to overtake AB de Villiers as the second-highest six-hitter in the league. As far as wicket-keeping is concerned, Dhoni needs just two more to overtake Dinesh Karthik as the keeper with most dismissals in the IPL.

This final will all about be the side which keeps calm and executes the plans better and there is no better person than MS Dhoni to get the job done.
