Prior to these 2024 exploits, RCB held the record for the highest team total in the IPL. On April 23, 2013, they posted a staggering 263 for 5 against the now-defunct Pune Warriors India at the Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru. This match is particularly remembered for Chris Gayle's explosive innings, where he scored an unbeaten 175 runs, highest score by any batter in the IPL.
