Age 35Sri LankaSRI LANKA
Right Handed Wicket Keeper

Anushka Sanjeewani is one of Sri Lanka’s most reliable wicketkeeper-batters, known for her sharp glovework, tidy batting, and calmness behind the stumps. Over the years, she has become a vital cog in Sri Lanka’s white-ball setup, often anchoring the batting order and providing stability in pressure situations. She made her domestic List A debut for Southern Province as a teenager in 2010 and began making her mark in Sri Lanka’s domestic structure with consistent performances for teams like Southern Province and Colts Cricket Club. Her glove work and ability to contribute valuable runs down the order quickly earned her a place in the national setup.

Sanjeewani made her international debut in both ODIs and T20Is in 2014 both against India, and has since been a regular presence in Sri Lanka’s middle order. Her ability to handle spin-friendly conditions at home and keep wicket to quality spinners has made her an asset to the team. In 2018, she made her maiden T20I fifty playing against Pakistan, while she had to wait till 2024 to get her first half-century in ODIs, which came against the West Indies. She has represented Sri Lanka in multiple ICC Women’s World Cups and T20 World Cups, often standing out with her composure behind the stumps. She was also part of the Sri Lankan squad for the 2022 Commonwealth Games, but her biggest moment came when she lifted the 2024 Women’s Asia Cup title with her country. Later, she was named in the Sri Lankan team for the Women’s World Cup 2025.
