The transport department has decided not to allow any Blueline bus to ply in city areas.

According to senior transport department officials, the operators — who still have valid permits — have been told to apply for permits for new routes decided by the department. There are about 480 Blueline buses currently plying in Delhi.

“We have identified 65 routes that cater to only outer Delhi and rural Delhi. The operators will be given fresh permits to operate buses on only these routes,” said a senior transport department official.
