A proposal of the Home Ministry to recommend to the President lifting of President's rule from Jharkhand will be placed before the cabinet meeting.

Another proposal to conduct the caste census is also expected to be cleared by the cabinet meeting to be chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

The total cost of conducting the caste census is expected to be around Rs 3,000 crore to Rs 4,000 crore.
