A decision was taken to open registration of land and sale, purchase deed in 320 authorised colonies out of the 895 colonies recently regularised by the government. These 320 colonies have come up on private land.

The meeting was attended by UD minister Arvinder Singh, chief secretary PK Tripathi, secretary, UD, divisional commissioner and three municipal commissioners.

Dikshit instructed the task force to expedite regularisation of the remaining 570 colonies. It was decided in the meeting that the regularisation process of these colonies on gram sabha land will be processed expeditiously.

Residents of these colonies will also be able to get their land, sale and purchase deed registered soon.

It is expected that the process of regularisation of remaining colonies will be completed by January 2013.

Dikshit instructed the three municipal corporations to expedite the finalisation of layout plans of 895 regularised colonies.

This work is to be completed by December 31. The government has directed the civic bodies to engage specialised agencies for this purpose.
