The administrator of Haryana Urban Development Authority (Huda), Dr Parveen Kumar, has ordered a drive against milk dairies situated in residential areas and impose a fine on those dairy owners found misusing potable water.

This follows after the administrator’s visit to Sector 9 and 9 A on Tuesday during an encroachment removal drive. He directed the concerned estate officer, superintending engineer and executive engineers to remove the malba (construction debris) from open areas and plots of the respective sectors.
The administrator also said that land should be identified and earmarked for implementation of rainwater harvesting systems.
Dr Praveen Kumar also directed repair of damaged drainage system in the sectors.
He asked the officials to identify unauthorised construction or encroachments and submit the same within a week and also lift loose soil.
Unauthorised functions should not be held in open areas and in case of any violation regarding use of loud speakers or music, the organiser would have to pay the fine. Besides he wanted the parks and green belt to be maintained in these sectors.
He also directed to prepare a proposal for connecting the master sewer with Public Health Engineering Department (PHED).
Instructions have also been given to connect the sewer line of Housing Board Colony Sector-9 with Huda sewer line.
During the visit, he also directed to put display boards at every community centres regarding complaints of water or sewer.
