Delhi govt seeks World Bank aid for improving its departments

Delhi Government today gave a presentation to a World Bank team seeking financial and technical assistance to improve performance of Delhi Jal Board and its transport department.

Delhi Government today gave a presentation to a World Bank team seeking financial and technical assistance to improve performance of Delhi Jal Board and its transport department.

The Delhi Jal Board has sought assistance from the World Bank to improve its water conservation mechanism while Delhi Integrated Multi Modal System (DIMTS) requested help to improve the transport infrastructure in the city.

Officials said the Environment department also sought help from the World Bank to implement various schemes related to ensuring energy efficiency.

It also requested the World Bank team to help the department converting various government buildings into energy-efficient buildings and lessen the carbon footprint.
