Domestic help raped by employer, 2 others
A 22-year-old domestic maid, hailing from Jharkhand, was allegedly drugged and raped by her employer and his two friends in Rani Bagh in northwest Delhi.
A 22-year-old domestic maid, hailing from Jharkhand, was allegedly drugged and raped by her employer and his two friends in Rani Bagh in northwest Delhi.
The incident came to light on June 20 after the girl filed a complaint with the local police. She was sent for a medical examination that confirmed rape.
The police have arrested Shiv Ram while his two friends are absconding. The girl was working at Shiv Ram's house since June 2. "She was given the job on the reference of one Bamdev, a resident of Moti Nagar who is a friend of victim's relative.
The girl had come to Delhi in search of job a couple of months back and stayed at her relative's house in Moti Nagar," said a senior police officer requesting anonymity.
Police said Shiv Ram had invited his two friends for a party at his house. The trio consumed liquor and gave the victim a glass of soft drink laced with sedative. The trio then took turns to rape her. Efforts are being made to nab the other two the two accused.
