HC website goofs up on judges
Technical glitch led to the confusion. Justices Sharma and Katju are mistakenly shown as delivering judgments in lower court cases.
Can judges preside over two courts and that too of different hierarchy at the same time? Of course not.

But if we go by the official website of the Delhi High Court www.delhihighcourt.nic.in, Justice Mukundakam Sharma and Markandey Katju, judges of the Supreme Court have been delivering judgments from the Delhi High Court also besides their hectic schedule in the Supreme Court.'
Justice Sharma was elevated from the post of Chief Justice of Delhi High Court to the Supreme Court on April 9, 2008.
But even after that he is shown to have delivered a whopping 1,172 judgments till date if you click by his name which is number one on the list of judges.
The latest being on Monday in a property dispute Mahesh Kantilal Zaveri Vs Union of India dated Monday, July 26, 2010.
Justice Katju who too was moved up the ladder as a judge of the Supreme Court on April 10, 2006, when he was Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court too is shown to have delivered five judgments from the Delhi High Court after the elevation. The latest was on January 27, 2010.
But once you click on the case number, you find that the judgment has been delivered by some other judge at present presiding in the Delhi High Court.
This sure is a technical glitch but sure to leave surfers confused. The sooner the high court rectifies this mistake, the better.
