“The Delhi Transco Limited will carry out maintenance work at a 220KV sub-station in Okhla on January 8 from 11am to 4pm,” said a senior official of the power department.

Power supply in Kalkaji DDA Flats, CR Park, Greater Kailash-I and II, Govindpuri, East of Kailash, Okhla Industrial Area, Nerhu Place and other adjoining areas will be affected.

Officials said back-up arrangements have been made, but in case of an exigency power supply may be affected for short duration on rotational basis.

“The repair work is important. If it is not done on Sunday, it can create difficulty later in terms of power supply,” added the official.

On Thursday, due to dense fog many 220KV transmission lines had tripped leading to long power cuts.

Meanwhile, the BRPL, in association with the Delhi Legal Services Authority, is holding a two-day ‘lok adalat’ on January 14 and 15 for its customers of south and west Delhi at District Court, Saket.
