The development came during a meeting on Tuesday after the minister expressed displeasure over the FIU glossing over tax-evasion cases and focusing more on money laundering cases under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act. FIU is an independent body that reports to the Economic Intelligence Council headed by the FM on suspicious monetary transactions in banks.
