The Prime Minister gave the chaadar to Minister of State, PMO Prithviraj Chavan.

Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Monday also had handed over a chaadar as an offering for the ongoing 'Urs' at Ajmer Sharif dargah to a delegation here.

It has been an old practice by successive Congress Presidents to send a chaadar, woven in Hyderabad, to Ajmer Sharif on the occasion of 'Urs', which is taken to the shrine by senior Congress leaders and ministers.
