Naveen Daga, a businessman, had informed Vasant Kunj police on Friday that three persons who cheated him while selling gold bricks had called him again and asked him to go to Mahipalpur.

“In December 2008, Daga received a phone call during which the caller informed him that he had gold bricks. He wanted to sell the bricks cheap,” Chhaya Sharma, DCP (south), said.

In February 2009, he met one Pappu and after verification, he agreed to purchase two gold bricks at Rs. 7 lakh each. “He tried contacting them again but
couldn’t. In January this year, he received a call again inviting him to buy gold bricks,” Sharma added.
