Delhi University entrance tests: Important dates students should keep in mind

Entrance tests for nine Delhi University undergraduate courses will continue till July 5. Here are the dates to remember.

The Delhi University, which announced its first cut-off list on Monday, has begun conducting entrance tests for nine undergraduate courses.

Entrance tests will continue till July 5, when the practical exam for BA (Hons) Music will be conducted. The first entrance test for Bachelor of Science (Physical Education, Health Education and Sports) was held on Monday.

This year, the university provided a single portal for applications for both merit-based and entrance-based admissions to undergraduate courses. Till 2017, the registration for entrance-based admissions was separate.

There are a total of 56,000 undergraduate seats in Delhi University. The 2018-19 academic session begins on July 20.

Here’s a list of entrance exam dates to look out for:

ENTRANCE TESTS
Delhi University will conduct entrance tests for nine undergraduate courses
JOINT ADMISSION TEST
COURSES: Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS), Bachelor of Business Administration (Financial Investment Analysis) BBA (FIA) and BA (Hons) Business Economics. Total seats: 1,147
Entrance date:
June 22. Admission will be based on combined weightage of the test (65%) and Class 12 marks (35%)
COLLEGES
14 colleges, including, Aryabhatta College, Gargi College, Laxmi Bai College, Shivaji College, Sri Guru Gobind Singh College, Shaheed Sukhdev College of Business Studies
CLUSTER INNOVATION CENTRE
B.TECH (INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY AND MATHEMATICAL INNOVATION)
Total seats: 40
Entrance Test: June 21. It will be a two-hour test with 100 multiple choice questions.

BA (HONS) HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES
Total seats: 40
Entrance Test: June 21. It will be a two-hour test with 100 multiple choice questions.

BACHELOR OF ELEMENTARY EDUCATION (B.EL.ED)
Total seats: 405
Entrance Test: June 19. It will be a two-hour test with multiple choice questions
COLLEGES
LSR, Gargi College, Institute of Home Economics, Aditi Mahavidyalaya, Miranda House, Jesus and Mary, Mata Sundri, Shyama Prasad Mukherjee College


BA (HONS) MUSIC
Total seats: 114
Entrance Test: July 4 and 5. It will be a practical test to be held at the Department of Music, Faculty of Music & Fine Arts.

BACHELOR OF SCIENCE
(Physical Education, Health Education & Sports)
Total seats: 108
Entrance Test: June 18. Admission based on combined weightage of entrance test (50%), physical fitness (20%) and sports proficiency (30%). Entrance will have multiple choice questions.

BA (Hons) MULTIMEDIA AND MASS COMMUNICATION
Total seats: 52
Entrance Test: June 20. It will be a two-hour test.
