In Patna, St Joseph’s Convent students shine in ISC results, pass percentage 98.30

A total of 1,056 candidates had appeared for the ISC exams from Bihar, out of which 393 were boys while the rest 663 were girls.

The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) announced the Indian School Certificate (ISC) results on Tuesday. The class 12 examinations were held between February 4 and March 25.

The overall pass percentage this year is 98.30, compared to last year’s was 99 %. Yet again, the girls triumphed over the boys as their pass percentage stood at 98.34, which is 0.12 higher than boys. (HT)

St. Joseph Convent High School, Patna, walked away with the pride as one of its meritorious students, Anushka Das Gupta emerged as the state topper by scoring 99% in Arts stream. Tilak Bhardwaj of Mount Assisi School, Bhagalpur stood 2nd in the state by scoring 98.75%.in the same stream. Shreya Agarwal of St. Joseph’s Convent High School got the 3rd rank in the state by scoring 98.50 % in Commerce stream.

Category (caste) wise statistics also reveals better performance by the students this year. In all 36 Schedule Caste (SC) candidates had appeared for the exams of which 97.22% got qualified. Similarly, out of the 33 Schedule Tribe (ST) candidates who took the exams, 93.94% got qualified. Altogether, 328 Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates had appeared in the examination, out of which 99.09% got qualified.

Mary Alphonsa, principal of Don Bosco Academy Patna, said, “The overall performance of my school is up to my expectation. The students have performed really well and the result this year is comparatively better.”

She added, “Class 12 students of all streams focus on competitive exams besides regular studies. Still, they have performed excellent and I appreciate their efforts.”

Kashyap Krishna from commerce stream stood the school topper scoring 97.5% while Ujjwal Raj stood topper in science stream by scoring 97.25% . Aashish Ranjan Singh and Kshitij Raj stood 2nd and 3rd in science stream with 96.5% and 96% respectively, while Kshitij Kumar and Sahil Jaiswal stood 2nd and 3rd in commerce stream with 93.5% and 92.5% respectively.

St. Joseph’s Covent High School

Anushka Das Gupta stood the school and state topper scoring 99% marks in the arts stream, while Shreya Agarwal stood second in school and topper in commerce stream securing 98.5 % . Subi S Sabu stood 2nd in Arts stream with 96.5%, Fahera Parwez and Aranya Sahay jointly stood 3rd by securing 96.25 in the same stream. Yashi Swaroop became the school’s science topper with 96.25% while Anwesha Majumdar and Priyamavada Priyadarshani stood 2nd and 3rd in the same stream with 93.7% and 92.7%% respectively. Shruti Suman and Riya Bansal stood 2nd and 3rd in commerce stream with 97.5% and 97.2% respectively.

Neha Prasad stood the school topper scoring 95.75% in the commerce stream, while Nidhi Bharti stood second in school and topper in arts stream securing 94.5%.
