Bandi Sanjay Kumar

Bandi Sanjay Kumar is a politician from the BJP who represents the Karimnagar constituency in the Lok Sabha. He is the former BJP president of Telangana. He resigned as the Telangana BJP chief on 4 July 2023, making way for G Kishan Reddy. He is the party's National General Secretary. He started his political career as a member of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, the party's student wing. He actively took part in LK Advani's Rath Yatra. Bandi Sanjay Kumar was a municipal corporator for Karimnagar's 48th division for over 14 years till 2019, when he was elected to the Lok Sabha. He lost Telangana's assembly polls in 2014 and 2018 to BRS candidate Gangula Kamalakar. Karimnagar is one of the three assembly constituencies in the Karimnagar district. It is part of the district's Lok Sabha seat. In 2018, Gangula Kamalakar, a minister in the KCR government, is the sitting MLA. He defeated Kumar by 14974 votes. The two are the main challengers on this seat in 2023.
