Pauri is one of the 70 Uttarakhand Legislative Assembly Constituencies that comes under the Garhwal district. People of Pauri voted for Uttarakhand Assembly Election 2022 on February 14 and the result was declared on March 10.

In 2017, 9 candidates were contesting for Pauri assembly constituency seat. Pauri was one of 57 seats won by the Bharatiya Janata Party. Bharatiya Janata Party's Mukesh Singh Koli won the election by defeating Indian National Congress's Naval Kishor by a margin of 7,030 votes.

95.7% of votes were split between top 2 candidates. Bharatiya Janata Party's Mukesh Singh Koli secured a total of 26,469 votes, while Indian National Congress's Naval Kishor got 19,439 votes. Independent candidate Hari Kumar grabbed 593 votes to finish at the third place. The top three parties got 55.2%, 40.5% and 1.2% respectively.

In Uttarakhand Assembly election 2012, Indian National Congress's Sunder Lal Mandrawal outperformed Bharatiya Janata Party's Ghananand by 2,906 votes.
