Arjun Kapoor accepts he wasn't around for Janhvi Kapoor's birthdays before, fans love how he doesn't 'brush aside past'

Actor Arjun Kapoor has shared a sweet birthday wish for his half-sister Janhvi Kapoor, who turns 25 on Sunday.

Actor Janhvi Kapoor got a sweet birthday wish from her elder brother, Arjun Kapoor. While Arjun is the son of producer Boney Kapoor and his first wife Mona Shourie, Janhvi is the daughter of Boney and his second wife Sridevi. Arjun and Janhvi were not close for many years due to their family situation but found a strong new bond after Sridevi's death in 2018.

Sharing a picture with Janhvi on her 25th birthday on Sunday, Arjun accepted that he did miss out on her earlier birthday. “I know I wasn’t around for quite a few birthdays but now you’re stuck with me for life,” he wrote. Janhvi loved his message for her and commented on his post, “Love you.”

Fans, too, loved how honest Arjun was in his birthday wish for his sister. “I love how candid and honest you are and instead of brushing aside your past, you just face it as it is.” Another wrote, “The caption aw you’re the best brother.”

Arjun also has a sister named Anshula and Janhvi's younger sister is named Khushi. After Sridevi's death, Arjun and Anshula became pillar of strength and support for the late actor's young daughters, something even Boney has always appreciated. Arjun, however, has also maintained that they are still not a family unit.

Speaking to Bollywood Bubble last year, Arjun had said, "If I say we are a perfect family, that will be incorrect. It’s not about different opinions, we still are different families who are trying to merge and coexist with each other. We all have amazing time when we are together but we are still not one unit. I don’t want to sell a fake lie that everything is perfect. It can’t be perfect, as we are still figuring each other out..."

As for Janhvi, she is celebrating her birthday with her annual trip to Tirupati. She shared photos from the trip on Instagram and is seen decked up in a silk saree, posing with her friends.

Others who wished Janhvi on her birthday are her friends Ananya Panday, Sara Ali Khan and cousin Shanaya Kapoor.

Janhvi was last seen in 2021 horror comedy Roohi and her next release will be Good Luck Jerry. Arjun's upcoming released include Ek Villain 2 and Kuttey. Khushi is also expected to make her acting debut soon.
