Swara Bhasker thanks Pakistani designer for his 'generosity' as she shares new pics of Walima outfit

Swara Bhasker posted new photos of her Walima outfit. It arrived in India after making its way from Pakistan and then Dubai.

Actor Swara Bhasker posted new pictures of her Walima outfit which was made by Pakistani designer Ali Xeeshan. She and her husband Fahad Ahmad hosted yet another wedding reception in Delhi. For the event, the couple's outfits especially arrived from Lahore.

Sharing the details of the outfit, Swara posted new close up photos. It featured Swara in a beige, heavily embroidered lehenga. She paired it with a chunky matha patti and a nose ring. Fahad opted for a golden kurta paired with a white sherwani and white-golden dupatta to finish off the look.

While some photo featured them posing solo in their look, a few had them together at the reception venue. Swara wrote, “My Walima outfit came all the way from Lahore via Dubai- Bombay-Delhi finally to Bareilly! I’ve long marvelled at the talent of #AliXeeshan #AliXeeshanTheatreStudio When I called him with an idea of wearing his work @ Walima, his warmth & generosity made me admire the person. 1/n.”

“Ali Xeeshan not only sent Jodi outfits for @FahadZirarAhmad & me, but customised them painstakingly with personalised details & messages embroidered into the exquisite garments. My sarhad-paar ki bestie @Natrani came to our rescue & enabled the outfits to reach Dubai,” she continued and further added, “From sarhad paar Annie rescued me in crisis. Ali who has never met me & is based in Lahore managed to send me my dream outfit for a wedding finale! Makes me realise love & friendship cannot be contained in borders & boundaries. Feeling blessed & grateful.”

Reacting to the look, a user wrote, “Congrats ma'm. At least someone caring for the poor Pakistani economy.” “Swara mam you looking so beautiful. congratulations,” added another one. Some also criticised her for not opting for an Indian designer.

Swara married Fahad, who is the state president of Samajwadi Party's youth wing – Samajwadi Yuvjan Sabha. The two registered their wedding earlier in January this year and got engaged. They met during a rally in 2020 and fell in love.

The couple recently tied the knot in Delhi and hosted a series of wedding festivities including haldi, mehendi and a musical night from both their respective religions. Their wedding reception had several political leaders in attendance.
