Chiranjeevi ‘leaks’ Mega 158 title

Chiranjeevi attended an event for his nephew Varun Tej’s recent film, Korean Kanakaraju, where the anchor played a promotional video for his next. The video is from Mega 158’s commencement pooja, where Chiranjeevi says, “Bobby, you made me say ‘bloody benchmark’. That’s not our title, no? Our title is…” When the filmmaker interrupts him and tells him it’s not the time to reveal, he jokes, “What a fool, he thinks he can stop me. When the time comes, I’ll leak it myself. Keep waiting till then, it’s a superb title.”

At the event, the anchor stated that they played the video in the hope that he would ‘leak’ the title now. Even as music composer Thaman S kept trying to ensure Chiranjeevi stays calm, the actor said, “You don’t want me to tell? Thaman is shaking his head ‘no’. But you did the RR for the teaser coming out on August 22, right? How did it turn out? You’ve put in the title, right? Will it be announced soon? It’s Kadiri, no?” covering his mouth as soon as he revealed the title. When Thaman asked him not to reveal more, he added, “I can’t stop myself.”

Chiranjeevi’s recent work

Fans, who have been waiting for an update on his much-delayed socio-fantasy film Vishwambhara, directed by Mallidi Vassishta, were surprised to see the actor moving on to the next. The film was supposed to be released in 2025, but was postponed due to lukewarm reactions to the teaser's VFX. There have been no updates on the film, and some wonder whether it has been shelved.

Chiranjeevi last starred in Anil Ravipudi’s Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu with Nayanthara this year. The film was released on Sankranthi and received mixed reviews. It performed well at the box office, collecting over 300 crore. He is currently shooting for the film with Bobby, now revealed to be titled Kadiri. He also has a film with Srikanth Odeala lined up. The filmmaker is currently busy with Nani’s The Paradise.
