Radhe Shyam box office: Producers claim film has made 150 crore, Hindi version manages just 14 crore

Prabhas’ period romantic drama, which opened to mixed reviews from all quarters, has collected 151 crore in its opening weekend, claims the team behind the film. However, the Hindi version of the film, which was also dubbed and released in Tamil, has collected a meagre sum. The makers released a poster on Monday claiming that the film has grossed 151 crore, despite the film garnering negative response from audiences and critics alike. Meanwhile, as per a report in Box Office India, the film's Hindi version could manage only 14 crore in 

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala shared the poster released by the makers on his Twitter page. Directed by Radha Krishna Kumar the multi-lingual love story is set in Europe in the 1970's with Prabhas essaying the role of a palmist.

Shot extensively in Italy, Georgia and Hyderabad, Radhe Shyam is mounted on a large canvas, with glossy visual effects and will see Prabhas and Pooja Hegde in never-seen-before avatars.

Produced by UV Creations, the film was also released in Hindi and Tamil. Amitabh Bachchan turned narrator for the Hindi version of the movie while the Telugu version had narration by SS Rajamouli.

Talking about Amitabh’s involvement as the narrator for the project, Radha Krishna Kumar had said in a statement: “ The film is set in the 1970’s and is mounted on a massive scale, we needed a voice that can command the nation and who better than Mr. Amitabh Bachchan, a voice that everyone recognizes, respects and more importantly loved. We are so happy to have him as Radhe Shyam’s narrator .”

Amitabh Bachchan is currently working with Prabhas on Project K with director Nag Ashwin. Deepika Padukone makes her Telugu debut with Nag Ashwin’s project which will be bankrolled by Vyjayanthi Films.

Prabhas will soon resume work on his upcoming Telugu-Hindi bilingual project Salaar, which is being directed by Prashanth Neel of KGF fame. Shruti Haasan will also star 


Prabhas also awaits the release of Om Raut’s Adipurush and also has Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Spirit in the pipeline.
