Frizz control shampoos are appropriate for curly dry hair. Regular hair spas, deep conditioning treatments and use of leave-in serums help manage frizzy curls. For deep conditioning of this hair type, one can use a mixture of olive oil, mayonnaise and egg yolks.

For oily hair with curls, use an oil control shampoo and apply conditioner only to the tips of your hair. Rinse your hair with lemon and green tea to get rid of excess oil from scalp.

Curly hair is not combed as much as normal hair and so is more prone to dandruff.

Hair spas and creamy mask spas are a must for brittle hair with curls. Adding a pinch of baking soda to your hair can add volume and shine. For conditioning, apply mashed ripe banana on your hair (not scalp) and keep for 10-15 minutes, then rinse off. Another good conditioner is beer that can be poured directly on washed hair and you are good to go.

Layered cuts look best on curly hair. You can also try downward layering or a fusion of in and out turns. Razor, blunt and bob cuts do not flatter this hair type.
