Polka-dots have been around for ages, but some of our most-loved chic celebs have (literally) been spotted in the supercute print. After actor Sonam Kapoor made such a great case for polka-dots with her Mother Of Pearl midi dress at Cannes Film festival, Malaika Arora is making us feel the itch to buy polka-dots before this story is even finished.

The former VJ and TV personality showed just how polka-dots can turn a look from humdrum to high fashion in a snap. On Wednesday, Malaika looked as retro cool as ever wearing an unexpected nighttime look: Polka-dot separates from TopShop. By styling her cutesy black-and-white polka-dot jacket ($100) and belted shorts ($68) with a sexy black bralette, she proved the on-trend print can easily go from day to night (and look quite sophisticated, too).

Malaika finished off the outfit with natural make-up — a sweep of red lipstick and straight waist-length hair that looked both retro and fresh. But we especially loved how Malaika dressed up the feminine fashion print with some seriously sexy black slogan print DSQUARED2 heels — featuring open toe and back zip closure — and an equally chic red clutch from Saint Laurent. Although this may be a daring look for some, name someone better that could pull it off besides this dynamic woman.
