Fifty Shades of Grey star Dakota Johnson is in negotiations to star in the upcoming romantic-comedy How To Be Single. Actor Leslie Mann, Downtown Abbey actor Dan Stevens and Bachelorette actor Rebel Wilson are also in the talks to join the cast of the film, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Actor Alison Brie, who was circling the film in mid-2014, is also in final negotiations as the film gears up to shoot in April in New York.
Director Christian Ditter will helm the movie which is based on Liz Tucillo's novel. Abby Kohn and Marc Silverstein wrote the original draft, and Dana Fox worked on the current draft.
The movie will reportedly explore topics like blind dating and casual sex to suggest that people's lives are not defined by their relationships, but rather the single times in between.
It is slated for release on February 12, 2016.
