Jennifer Aniston calls Brad-Angelina split ‘karma’, feels ‘satisfied’: Reports
A new report suggests that Jennifer Aniston, who used to be married to Brad Pitt, is ‘satisfied’ about his divorce from Angelina Jolie.
While the thousands of GIFs of a smug Jennifer Aniston celebrating news of her ex-husband Brad Pitt’s divorce from Angelina Jolie that are floating around the Internet are all in jest, a US Weekly report now suggests that Aniston’s actual reaction isn’t too different.
First things first: This report must be taken with a huge grain of salt. But US Weekly, quoting a couple of sources, says that while Aniston ‘doesn’t harbour any ill-will towards her ex-husband’ that’s not to say she isn’t somewhat ‘satisfied’ to hear the news.
According to their source, while discussing the matter with a few friends, Aniston’s response was: “Yeah, that’s karma for you!”
“She always got the sense that something would happen with them eventually,” the insider continues. “She didn’t feel that Angelina was truly the one who Brad was meant to stay with. She always felt that Angelina was too complex for him. He’s a pretty simple guy.”
US Weekly then brings in a second source, who confirms that while Aniston ‘admittedly feels sort of satisfied about Brad and Angelina’s split,’ she also ‘never wanted this for them or wished this on them.’
“Jen does wish Brad luck and the best. She feels like she’s happy, and she wants him to be happy too,” the second insider continued. “Jen does not hold on to any negativity from her marriage to Brad.”
Aniston and Pitt were married from 2000-2005, when an on-set romance between him and Jolie broke them up. In May 2011, Aniston began a relationship with actor/writer Justin Theroux. They were married in August 2015, 10 years after she split with Pitt.
