'Even if we get 50 MLAs from AAP...': BJP to sprinkle 'gangajal' at Rajghat after Kejriwal's visit
AAP leaders' visit to Rajghat on Thursday has ‘tampered’ the sanctity of the places, the BJP claimed and said they will have to sprinkle ‘gangajal’ there.
Minutes after AAP leaders went to Rajghat on Thursday and declared the defeat of Operation Lotus in the Capital, the Delhi BJP said it will sprinkle 'gangajal' to sanctify the place. Dismissing allegations that the BJP was trying to poach 40 AAP MLAs by offering them ₹20 crore each, Delhi BJP leader Parvesh Sahib Singh said, "If the charges were brought against us in 2013, people would have believed. Kejriwal has diverted the issue and without answering about the liquor policy, he brought baseless allegations against us, Parvesh Singh said. “Kejriwal must be watching movies and making scripts. He alleges that BJP leaders are threatening them, but is not disclosing their names. Then he claims his MLAs are missing, but again he won't name them. If he gives us the name of the MLAs who apparently were missing, we could have looked for them,” he said.
Kejriwal has a swimming pool of ₹21 crore in his residence: BJP
In a sarcastic jibe, the BJP leader said Arvind Kejriwal is the person who betrayed Annaji, and took BJP's support. “He is very focused on the development and that's why got a swimming pool in his government residence worth ₹21 crore. He does not drink but makes our children drink. He permits restaurants to remain open till 3am. Apart from all these, he is a good leader, it seems. He is also a patriot who questions the surgical strike and gets praised in Pakistan,” Parvesh Sahib Singh said adding that all his MLAs get treated in private hospitals.
'They can nominate each other for Oscars': BJP
Continuing his attack on Kejriwal and Sisodia, the BJP leader said they can indulge in whatever drama they can and nominate each other for Oscars, they will have to go to jail. "Manish Sisodia knows very well that he signed the files," Parvesh said.
"If these people visit Rajghat, it obviously becomes unholy. That is why our leaders will go there and sprinkle ganga jal," the BJP leader said.
Operation Lotus failed in Delhi: AAP
The national capital on Thursday witnessed a high-octane drama amid the ongoing BJP versus AAP tussle. Ahead of AAP's meeting at Kejriwal's residence, it was claimed that some MLAs were out of reach. Finally, 53 MLAs out of 62 attended the meeting. The AAP claimed that the rumour of the 'missing MLAs' was spread by the BJP. Following the meeting, the AAP MLAs, led by Kejriwal, visited Rajghat where Kejriwal alleged that the BJP had plans to poach 40 MLAs.
