The Samajwadi Party on Monday released its new list of 11 candidates for the Lok Sabha elections, this hours after party chief Akhilesh Yadav said that the seat sharing talks between Congress and his party ‘are advancing’. The Samajwadi Party and Congress are partners in the INDIA bloc. SP's new list comes days after the party had announced 16 candidates for the upcoming general elections. West Bengal's Sandeshkhali has been witnessing massive unrest for over 10 days as women protestors are seeking justice against alleged sexual assault committed by Trinamool Congress (TMC) leader Shahjahan Sheikh and his supporters. The women residing in the violence-hit region shared their ordeal saying that it has become very risky to live as the accused have been arrested but not punished yet. They also accused state chief minister Mamata Banerjee for neglecting their pain and suffering and speaking on behalf of those who attacked their dignity. Dig deeper

Actor Vikrant Massey recently opened up about his career and relationship with money. In a recent interview with Unfiltered by Samdish, the actor talked about how he learnt some valuable lessons about money and respect early in life. Vikrant opened up in the conversation and told the story of how he was discriminated against when his friends saw where he lived. He also stated that his friends’ behaviour towards him changed when they saw his home. “I once called some of my closest friends home in college. My mom cooks really well, so I called everyone home to eat. But when they saw my home, the plastic chairs, chipping paint, leaky ceiling, how the kitchen isn’t aesthetically clean, their behaviour changed… They left within an hour of coming to my home.
