G20 delegates reach Arunachal, may visit Tawang on Sunday
Over 50 international delegates reached Arunachal Pradesh on Saturday to participate in a G20 meeting.
After landing at the Hollongi airport, they travelled to Itanagar where they visited an exhibition in which various tribal arts and cultures were showcased, besides budding innovators of the state exhibiting their innovations, reported PTI.
Five members of banned outfit held in Jharkhand
Five members of the banned Tritiya Sammelan Prastuti Committee (TSPC) have been arrested in Jharkhand's Palamu district for allegedly setting fire to vehicles near a brick kiln, a senior police officer said on Saturday.
Around 16 TSPC pamphlets, five mobile phones, one bike among other things were recovered from their possession, the officer said, reported PTI.
US: Pennsylvania chocolate factory explodes; 5 dead, 6 missing
An explosion at a chocolate factory in Pennsylvania on Friday killed five people and left six people missing, authorities said.
The Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency confirmed the increase in the number of fatalities Saturday morning after the blast just before 5 p.m. Friday at the R.M. Palmer Co. plant in the borough of West Reading, reported AP.
Special meeting for civic budget to be held on Mar 28: MCD
A special meeting has been convened at the MCD headquarters on March 28 to discuss and deliberate on the civic budget, officials said on Saturday. As required by norms, the civic budget is to be cleared by March 31.
The MCD passed the "schedule of taxes" in the civic budget for 2023-24 on February 15.
But, the remaining budget process was stalled as the standing committee of the civic body is yet to be elected, reported PTI.

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar Saturday conducted an aerial survey of crops affected by untimely rains and hailstorms.
The survey was conducted by the CM during his visit to Hisar.
"The Haryana government is committed to protecting the interests of the farmers and ensuring their welfare. Every possible effort will be made to safeguard the interest of the farmers," an official release quoted Khattar as saying, reported PTI.

Russia pardons 5,000 former criminals after fighting in Ukraine: Report
More than 5,000 former criminals have been pardoned after finishing their contracts to fight in Russia's Wagner mercenary group against Ukraine, the founder of Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, said on Saturday.
Wagner Group, originally staffed by battle-hardened veterans of the Russian armed forces, took on a much more prominent role in the Ukraine war after the Russian army suffered a series of humiliating defeats last year, reported Reuters.
Rains in parts of Rajasthan, hailstorm hits Sriganganagar
Light to moderate rains triggered by a western disturbance were recorded in parts of Rajasthan during the last 24 hours.
According to the Meteorological Department, 35 mm rains were received in Rajgarh of Alwar, 34 mm in Buhana of Jhunjhunu, 19 mm in Jhunjhunu, 16 mm in Paota of Jaipur, 17 mm in Taranagar of Churu, while several other places recorded rains below 17 mm till Saturday morning since Friday.
Hailstorm hit Sriganganagar district during this period.
The department had predicted light rain at some places in Jaipur, Ajmer, Bharatpur divisions on Saturday, reported PTI.
J&K: 1 killed, 4 injured in factory blast
A person was killed and four others were injured in a blast that took place in a scrap factory in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district on Saturday, official sources said.
The factory was located in the Baribrahamana area, they said.
Those injured have been hospitalised.
Police have rushed to the spot and are investigating the matter, they added, reported PTI.
