Congress leader Kamal Nath, while reacting to PM Modi's speech during Operation Sindoor debate in Lok Sabha, said that the Prime Minister mentioned Jawaharlal Nehru's name 14 times. "This is also a strange thing. Why did he drag Jawaharlal Nehru into this?" Nath asked.

Congress MP Sukhjinder Singh Randhawa told news agency ANI, while speaking about PM Modi's speech in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday, that the Prime Minister should have specifically said that America played no role in the ceasefire with Pakistan and that their President, Donald Trump, is lying.

"If Trump made a statement against today, then when the PM came to the House today, he should have said that the US President is lying again, and we did not agree to the ceasefire due to anyone's arm-twisting... The PM has to answer that the Indian Army does not work on someone else's orders," Randhawa added.

BJP MP Manoj Tiwari said that the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, is using shallow language.

"It does not happen in any country that the Parliament discusses whether the nation won the war or not. But it is the courage of the central government that it accepted it. Rahul Gandhi is using shallow language. He used a similar tone for the PM... The dynasty from which he comes, he cannot accept that anyone from outside the family is the Prime Minister... PM Modi categorically said that no leader of the world made us stop the war," he told news agency ANI.

Union minister Ramdas Athawale said, "The External Affairs Minister Dr S Jaishankar said in the Rajya Sabha today that we had no communication with the American President Donald Trump. When Trump said that there should be a ceasefire, we made it clear that we do not need an intervention. Pakistan should speak directly... The Opposition keeps on making allegations."

Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday launched a blistering attack on Prime Minister Narendra Modi for not outrightly calling Trump a liar, alleging that if he does so, then the "whole truth" will come out.

The Lok Sabha LoP said that Trump is currently repeatedly claiming to have brokered a ceasefire deal to put pressure on India amid the ongoing trade deal discussions between India and the US.

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi on Wednesday criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Lok Sabha speech on Operation Sindoor, saying that although the Prime Minister spoke for about two hours, many questions were left unanswered.

"The PM spoke for about two hours, and he tried to address all the questions that were raised by the opposition. But there are many questions that have not been answered. For example, on Operation Sindoor, he very categorically said that it is ongoing. So if it is ongoing, the PM would need to ask his cabinet minister. Why have we given a green flag to the Asia Cup matches, and why is it so important that we face Pakistan in these Asia Cup matches? asked Chaturvedi.

While concluding his address to the Rajya Sabha, EAM Jaishankar said that the Operation Sindoor was a well-considered, thoughtful response to the barbaric Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent people.

“It has become the basis of a new policy,” he said.

EAM Jaishankar on Wednesday confirmed that India destroyed terror infrastructure in Bahawalpur and Muridke and said, “We did the world a global service by doing so.

He made the remarks while addressing the Rajya Sabha on Operation Sindoor and the Pahalgam terror attack.

During a discussion on Operation Sindoor in the Rajya Sabha, EAM Jaishankar firmly rejected claims of foreign mediation, stating, "No calls were exchanged between PM Modi and US President Donald Trump from April 22 to June 16.

“Main unko kehna chahta hoon, woh kaan kholke sun le — from April 22 to June 16, not a single phone call took place between President Trump and Prime Minister Modi," the minister said.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday will move a resolution to extend President's rule in the ethnic violence-hit state of Manipur for six months.

The President's rule was imposed in Manipur on February 13, days after N Biren Singh resigned from the Chief Minister's position.
