Will chop off arms of those who point fingers at Modi, says Himachal BJP chief
Himachal Pradesh Congress president Kuldeep Rathore said Satti had made it a habit of making unusual remarks against Congress leaders.
Days after the Election Commission gagged him for two days for using an expletive against Congress president Rahul Gandhi, Himachal Pradesh Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Satpal Singh Satti said on Wednesday that the hands of the detractors of Prime Minister Narendra Modi should be chopped off.
“ If anyone points their finger at Modi, we will cut his hand and give it to him,” Satti said while campaigning for BJP candidate Ram Swaroop Sharma, who filed his nomination papers from Mandi. He also accused United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson Sonia Gandhi of “demolishing” the Congress. Satti’s remarks came four days after the poll watchdog barred him for 48 hours for using an expletive against Rahul Gandhi.
Himachal Pradesh Congress president Kuldeep Rathore said Satti had made it a habit of making unusual remarks against Congress leaders. “His comments on chopping off hands and against Soniaji (Gandhi) were unwarranted. The party will again approach the Election Commission of India and seek stricter action against him,” Rathore said.
