Aligarh: Truck rams huts, kills 8 kids

Eight children, including five sisters, were killed and over three dozen others injured when a truck overturned and fell over roadside huts at Nagla Patwari village near Aligarh Muslim University campus, late on Tuesday. HT reports.

Eight children, including five sisters, were killed and over three dozen others injured when a truck overturned and fell over roadside huts at Nagla Patwari village near Aligarh Muslim University campus, late on Tuesday.

The injured have been admitted to a hospital.

The incident took place when the truck, loaded with bricks, got stuck in a pothole and the driver lost control of the vehicle.

Police said a crane that was sent to the site also overturned and the occupants had to be rescued by cutting the window panes delaying relief work.
