Reminiscent of the Raj and reflective of the war, her collection is crafted in fine cottons and muslins. The subtle, simplistic and innovative look comes through in refreshing silhouettes. She reinvents leg wear - salwars, churidars and dogris - contouring the legs just the way the 70s skinny pants did. These are teamed with tunics, wrapped tops and Angarakha jackets.

Created in an exquisite colour palette of whites, ecrus, oranges and reds, the ensembles are beautifully embellished with appliqué and traditional kantha work over delicate block printing. Ethnic yet contemporary in feel and attitude, Anamika emerges as a true innovator, as her Indian design sensibility appeals to the western consumer.

Better known for her trousseau collection, Anamika does true justice to the craftsmen of Zardozi and weavers of fine fabrics in Kolkata through her exquisite designs.

She retails through her showroom in Kolkata, Ogaan and Carma in Delhi and RCKC in London

At the IFW Grand Finale this year, Khanna, alongwith Anshu Arora Sen and Aki Narula will interpret show sponsor Lakme India's fashion statement for 2004 - Fruit Shock. While Aki and Anshu will show 'Crush' and 'Pop' respectively, Anamika's 'Burst' is bright, full of vivid shades with every garment depicting fruit colours, vivacity and energy.
