THE ACTIVE gang of auto-lifters is posing a challenge to local police on every passing day. On Tuesday night, the miscreants stole a Maruti car from the premises of leading dental practitioners at Bank Road under Kotwali police station and three motorcycles from different areas.

On Tuesday night, the miscreants stole a Maruti car from the premises of leading dental practitioners at Bank Road under Kotwali police station and three motorcycles from different areas.
Leading medical practitioners Dr Madhu Gulati has registered a complaint at Kotwali police station and said miscreants has stolen her Maruti 800 car UP53A-6010 from her clinic at Bank Road.
Similarly, Pankaj Arora resident of Buxipur under Kotwali police station has registered a complaint that his motorcycle UP53U-3722 was stolen from Buxipur.
In another case Girjesh Shanker Srivastav resident of Surya Vihar Colony under Tiwaripur police station has registered a complained that miscreants has stolen his LML Freedom motorcycle number UP53S-2008
Despite all the claims, police have failed to put a check on the increasing crime graph in the district.
Even, the Director General Police Bua Singh was quite upset over the performance of the district police and its failure in making the arrest of 10 hardcore criminals.
In the meeting of IG zone, he reviewed the law and order situation from January 2006 to October 2006 and expressed his displeasure over the performance of district police.
