State party in-charge for UP Assembly election Imtiaz Mohammad Khan held a meeting of party workers and took feedback on the issue from them.
He discussed the party’s position with senior leaders and said that the aspirants for ticket should submit their bio-data mentioning their contribution to the party.
During meeting held at the city unit party office, he reviewed the preparation for the assembly election and directed the party workers to highlight the UPA Government’s achievements.
At present, Khan is visiting various parts of eastern UP in search of winnable candidates.
Recently, he had organised a meeting in Deoria and Sant Kabir Nagar districts.
Sources said that the party in-charge divided the assembly segments into two categories: A and B.
Addressing the party workers’ meet, Khan said that upcoming UP assembly election would be very important for the party.
He urged the party workers to remain in touch with the people and their problems. He hoped that after the election, the Congress would retain power in the State.
City Congress unit president Chaudhary Irshad Husain, who also addressed the meeting, said that the national leadership of the party was focusing on north-east UP.
