Congress releases names for five more seats in MP

Congress party released the names of its candidates from Bhopal, Rajgarh, Vidisha, Dhar and Hoshangabad.

The Congress released its list of candidates for five Lok Sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh on Sunday evening.

Syed Sajid Ali has been finally chosen as Congress candidate for Bhopal Lok Sabha seat, according to informed sources.

On the contentious Rajgarh and Dhar seats former Chief Minister Digvijay Singh and Leader of Opposition Jamuna Devi have prevailed on the party leadership to get ticket to the candidates of their choice.

The Central Election Committee (CEC) has given its nod for the candidature of former High Court justice Shambhu Singh for Rajgarh and Jamuna Devi's nephew Umang Singar from Dhar seat.

Deputy Speaker in the State Assembly Hazarilal Raghuvanshi's son Om Raghuvanshi has got ticket from Hoshangabad. Bhopal Mayor Vibha Patel's name from Vidisha seat has been dropped in favour of Narmada Prasad Sharma.
