Yatra disrupts traffic
UNPRECEDENTED CHAOS prevailed on the roads on Thursday for the second day in succession in the State capital due to the security arrangements on account of the public meeting of BJP leader L K Advani.

Commuters faced problems due to the congestion, as the main road connecting New Bhopal to the Old City remained shut in the day. The vehicle riders had arguments with traffic police personnel throughout the day. The fact that the VIP Road was also shut from the morning almost paralysed the City.

Though the traffic jams like that witnessed on Wednesday evening were not seen today, the spillover due to the blockage of the road caused congestion on the road from Roshanpura to Railway station via Jehangirabad.

The barricades were put even near Lily Talkies, Budhwara and other areas of Walled City causing further problems to the commuters. Surprisingly, the police had not opened the road from Mulla Ramoozi Bhawan to Moti Masjid for traffic even almost three hours after the public meeting had ended at the Kamla Park. It was only around 4:30 pm that the police opened the route for commuters.
