"We are proceeding in the case administratively as well as under the law," chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar told reporters on the sidelines of a function in Panchkula on Thursday.

The Income Tax department has issued a notice to a business firm owned by Vadra as part of its probe to understand the "financial structure" of the company and real estate projects undertaken by it.

Alleging irregularities in the land deals involving Vadra's company, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) had raked up the issue during the campaign for 2014 Lok Sabha and before the October 2014 assembly polls to attack Congress.

The BJP stormed to power in Haryana for the first time in the state's history after the October 15 polls.
